Black Widow
Young Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova are taken away from their Ohio home in 1995 by their surrogate parents, Alexei Shostakov, once known as the Red Guardian and Captain America of Russia, and former Black Widow Melina Vostokoff. Romanoff and Belova undergo additional training in the Red Room as their assignment comes to a conclusion.
Romanoff is on the run from the law for breaking the Sokovia Accords 21 years after the Avengers battle at Leipzig/Halle Airport. She flees from U.S. Secretary of State Thaddeus Ross and meets up with her contact Rick Mason at a safehouse in Norway. Belova is still employed by the Red Room in Morocco. Belova kills Oksana, a former Black Widow, but after coming into touch with Red Dust, she is no longer under the influence of the Red Room. In the hopes that Romanoff will come back to aid her, she delivers this antidote to his hiding place.
Romanoff is ambushed by Taskmaster, who is searching for the Red Dust, as she mistakenly drives off with the antidote. Romanoff succeeds in eluding Taskmaster and discovers that Belova is where the Dust originated. In Budapest, the two meet up again, but Black Widows assault them. Romanoff discovers the Red Room is still in operation and that its leader, Dreykov, is still alive while making his getaway. Romanoff's goal upon joining S.H.I.E.L.D. years earlier was to assassinate Dreykov. Both Dreykov and his little daughter Antonia were believed to be dead after Romanoff set a building containing them on fire (a crime that still haunts Romanoff). Romanoff and Belova escape Taskmaster in the present and reconnect with Mason, who gives them access to an aeroplane.
To find Dreykov, Romanoff and Belova free Shostakov from jail. He advises them to get in touch with Vostokoff, a Russian farmer who uses mind control on pigs and who resides on a farm. Belova admits that despite the fact that they weren't a true family, she wished they were. Shostakov and Vostokoff acknowledge that they too secretly desired to be a true family. Sadly, Vostokoff tells Dreykov where they are. As his operatives show up, they whisk them off to the Red Room, which is situated on an aerial base.
It is revealed that Vostokoff and Romanoff utilised face mask technology to switch places at the farm after planning their own capture as Dreykov congratulates Vostokoff on finding Romanoff and Belova. Romanoff finds that Taskmaster is Dreykov's daughter Antonia, who was severely injured in the explosion and had to have a chip implanted in her brain to help her, making her also into the ideal soldier.
Romanoff learns that Dreykov has a pheromone lock that prevents her from attacking him. She observes that Dreykov has been using his control desk to command Widows all across the world. Romanoff manages to cut a nerve in Dreykov's nasal tube to nullify the pheromone, enabling herself to assault Dreykov after provoking her into punching her in the face.
Vostokoff makes an effort to disable the ship's powerplant. Shostakov fights Antonia in the meantime, and Belova looks for the other Widows who were dispatched to guard Dreykov. While the Widows attack Romanoff one by one, Dreykov flees. Belova, on the other hand, develops a Red Dust bomb that frees the Widows from her mental control. Just as the Red Room is about to blow up and fall, Romanoff arrives at the control station and copies the positions of all the other Widows throughout the world to a flash drive. Romanoff picks up two vials of Red Dust that were spared by Belova's explosion before exiting the control room. Just as Belova destroys Dreykov's escape ship, killing him, Vostokoff and Shostakov are forced to leave the ship via plane.
When Belova and Antonia engage in one last aerial duel before landing safely, Romanoff hands Belova a parachute. With one vial of red dust, Natasha releases Antonia from the grip of her mind control. While Belova, Vostokoff, and Shostakov bid Romanoff farewell, the remaining Widows arrive.
Romanoff accepts Belova's vest as a memento of her, and Belova receives the remaining vial of Red Dust and the portable drive from Romanoff with the instruction to locate and release the other Widows. Romanoff watches for the arrival of Ross and his men as they go while Antonia, who is healing, stays behind. Mason is reunited with Romanoff two weeks later, this time with blonde hair, and he gives her a quinjet. Natasha mounts a horse and goes off to release the trapped Avengers from the Raft.
In a post-credits sequence that takes place after Romanoff's passing, Belova runs upon Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who is now working for her. The next task given to Belova is to kill Clint Barton, whom she holds "responsible" for Romanoff's demise.
